In addition, by the very first time, sharing with Homma Kancho, Fernando Roman Sensei from AHAN Mexico will be also instructing.

This special seminar is open to all Aikido students and instructors, regardless their school, level or style.



Gaku Homma Sensei

Kancho Nippon Kan

He was born in 1950 in the Akita prefecture in Japan, he was uchi deshi (internal student), at the ending of the seventies, under the direct tutelage of the Aikido founder, Morihei Ueshiba. In 1976 he moved to Denver Colorado, in the United States of America, where he was active as Aikido professor, in 1978 he founded his own dojo, NIPPON KAN as an independent Dojo.

Gaku Homma Sensei has organized important seminars of Aikido in Denver Colorado, with the remarkable teaching of great Shihans. For example, Morihiro Saito Sensei.

In his dojo, important Senseis have instructed ther teachings, like Fujita Sensei from Hombu Dojo Japan, Hitohiro Saito Sensei from Iwama Dojo and many more. Due to the great human labor that he is doing around the world, his dojo has received important special visits like the Mongolian President.

Author of several articles Aikido books of technique and philosophy, Homma Sensei has contributed in the spreading of this martial way through the world.

He also has formed one of the most important institutions for humanitarian aid, related with the Aikido path; Aikido Humanitarian Active Network, organization that has as priority to help needy people through Aikido seminars and related events where professors and students are welcomed, regardless style or Aikido schools. At the same time Homma Sensei has a strong Uchideshi program, in Denver Colorado, where many people participate, training in an intensive way in this Aikido path.

Gaku Homma Sensei travels regularly around the world, helping with the AHAN projets, from big organizations to small dojos, spreading Aikido and bringing benefit to the communities where he arrives. His Aikido idea, doesn't reduce to the practice of his technique, but also includes the aid and fraternity like human beings, helping in accordance with the ideas of the Aikido Founder, to create an oasis on earth.

Fernando Román Sensei
Dojocho AHAN México

He was born in 1964 in Mexico city, he began the martial way at age of 8 years old practicing Kung Fu, Karate Do and Tae Kwon Do. At 19 years old he began Aikido receiving in 1996 the 4th Dan from Aikidai Foundation in Tokyo Japan, granted by the late Doshu Kishomaru Ueshiba.

Besides Rocío Agüero Sensei, were the responsible of organized seminars for recognized Shihans, they welcomed for the very first time Yamada Sensei, Chiba Sensei, Shibata Sensei, Okuyama Sensei, and Murashige Sensei. They also organized many seminars for Yutaka Kurita, from whom they received his teaching for almost 15 years.

Roman Sensei also took seminars with all the Japanese Shihans of the, United States Aikido Federation (USAF), with Tamura Sensei from the Federación Francesa de Aikido y Budo, (FFAB) and with Kawahara Sensei from the British Columbia Aikido Federation

In 2003 he knew Gaku Homma Sensei, resulting in 2004 in the born of AHAN México. From this moment, another stage begins, traveling to Nicaragua, Guatemala, Brasil and Japan with Hitohiro Sensei de Aiki Shuren Kai en Iwama y con Kawabe Sensei en Akita, and also with the actual Dosshu Moriteru Ueshiba Sensei in Hombu Dojo

Fernando Román Sensei, has also taken seminars with Aikido Senseis from organizations like Aikido School of Ueshiba ASU and with Chistian Tissier Sensei from the French Federation of Aikido, FFAAA, with Larry Reynosa Sensei from Makoto Dojo and Dragisha Sensei y Renata Sensei from Aikido Schule Bern and with Fujita Sensei, Miyamoto Sensei and Kobayashi Sensei from Hombu Dojo.

He has given many courses and conferences in prestigious institutions in Mexico. Nowadays, he instructs his teaching in the Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, ITESM Mexico City campus.

The length of this Seminar will be almost 12 hours, as is scheduled in the PROGRAM
during three days, from December 2nd to 4th, 2005.

The seminar will be held in the Basquetball courts in DAE building, in the Tecnológico de Monterrey facilities, Campus Mexico City
